Legendary singer Garang Ateny has officially turned into South Sudan’s very own UN Peacekeeper successfully settling the beef between Anyaar Yol Mathiang and Slatine Pro after they almost tore each other apart over the song “Dhuengdu” yes, that banger everyone’s been vibing to
Apparently, the fight started because both Anyaar and Slatine were claiming ownership of “Dhuengdu,” which later got remixed by none other than John Frog.
At this point, it feels like everyone in Juba has a remix of “Dhuengdu” coming out next week.
Now, thanks to Garang’s wise words and probably a few promises of free studio time the two artists have agreed to cool their tempers… for now.
BUT WAIT, there’s more:
According to sources (mainly our uncle Atem Jido who sees everything), Anyaar Yol had already given Slatine Pro a few “warm up punches” behind the scenes just to “test the friendship strength,” you know?
Call it a brotherly massage… South Sudan style.
As of now, it’s still unclear if Anyaar will completely drop the charges against John Frog and Slatine Pro, but insiders say forgiveness is in the air and maybe a collab is too?
One thing’s for sure:
Music drama + brotherhood + flying fists = South Sudan never disappoints!
Stay tuned and maybe duck if you see Anyaar warming up his fists again.
