Nine South Sudanese Arrested in Uganda Over Suspected Murder of Maid

Ugandan police have arrested nine (9) South Sudanese nationals in Nabweru, Wakiso District, in connection with the suspected murder of an unidentified maid.

According to preliminary police reports, the maid allegedly sustained severe head injuries before her body went missing from the residence where she was employed. Authorities say bloodstains were discovered at the scene, raising serious concerns about foul play.

Local residents have further alleged that there were attempts to bribe a nurse and that suspicious movements were observed, including the removal of large bags from the premises shortly after the incident.

Police have confirmed that investigations are ongoing as they work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the case and locate the missing body. No formal charges have yet been announced.

More details will be released as the investigation progresses.
