President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Thursday officiated the swearing-in ceremony of Mawien Mawien Ariik as the new Director General of the Internal Security Bureau of the National Security Service (NSS).
‎
‎The President, who is also the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of all Regular Forces, promoted and decorated the newly appointed security chief before administering the oath of office at a ceremony held in Juba.
‎
‎Addressing the gathering, President Kiir directed the new Director General to ensure the Internal Security Bureau operates efficiently and in strict compliance with the principles of professionalism, discipline, and institutional commitment.
‎
‎“The Internal Security Bureau must reflect the true image of our motherland,” President Kiir said, emphasizing that this can only be achieved through loyalty, integrity, and selfless service to the nation.
‎
