
South Sudan is mourning the passing of Hon. Bona Malual Madut Ring, a revered statesman, diplomat, and political thinker whose influence spanned generations. He passed away at the age of 97.
Born on January 1, 1928, Bona Malual was one of South Sudan’s founding intellectuals and among the most distinguished figures in the nation’s political history. Throughout his long career, he championed peace, unity, and the cultural preservation of South Sudanese identity values that defined his public service and leadership.
His legacy remains deeply woven into the country’s journey toward independence and stability. Funeral and memorial arrangements will be announced in due course.
