South Sudanese Woman Dies in Kenya After Reported Escape Attempt from Foreign Husband

Malindi, Kenya — A South Sudanese woman has died in Kenya after reportedly sustaining severe injuries while attempting to flee from her foreign husband in the coastal town of Malindi.

The deceased, identified as Regina Ayen, is said to have passed away under unclear circumstances, leaving her family and friends searching for answers.

According to reports, Ayen was allegedly trying to escape from her Kawaja (foreign) partner when the tragic incident occurred. She reportedly attempted to climb over a gate topped with sharp metal spikes, which pierced her body and left her fatally injured.

Sources indicate that she remained trapped on the gate through the night until morning, when she was discovered still alive. Ayen was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she sadly succumbed to her injuries.

Medical reports later revealed that the cause of death was excessive bleeding from the metal wounds.

Local authorities are said to be investigating the incident to determine the exact circumstances surrounding Ayen’s death.
