Governors Adil and Al Taib Pledge Stronger Inter-State Cooperation and Regional Progress

Juba, Monday 08th Dec. 2025 CES-GPU

In a warm display of solidarity, Governor Barrister James Al Taib Berapai of Western Equatoria State paid a courtesy visit to Central Equatoria State Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony, extending his congratulations on the renewed confidence bestowed upon him by President Salva Kiir.

The two governors held productive discussions centered on strengthening inter-state cooperation, deepening regional unity, and advancing mutual development priorities.

They further deliberated on preparations for next year’s elections, emphasizing the need for widespread civic engagement, peacebuilding efforts, and public mobilization for stability.

Both leaders reaffirmed that peace and security remain the backbone of agricultural productivity, economic growth, and community well-being pledging continued collaboration for unity, progress, and a prosperous South Sudan.
