According to the rising star, success in the Nigerian music scene can come from a single hit song, regardless of the language in which it’s performed. In contrast, he believes that in South Sudan, artists often face more criticism than support.
In an interview, Young Boy The Best Boy explained, “In Nigeria, one hit song can completely change your life, no matter what language you sing in. People support you for your talent. But in South Sudan, it feels like instead of receiving encouragement, many artists are criticized. There’s not enough support for local music, and sometimes it’s harder to break through.”
