Adut Salva Visits Veteran Politician Abel Alier, 92 NAIROBI, Kenya — Senior Presidential Envoy Adut Salva Kiir has paid a courtesy visit to Abel Alier, South Sudan’s veteran politician and former First Vice President of Sudan, at his residence in Nairobi. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed South Sudan’s ongoing journey toward peace, unity, and nation-building. Envoy Adut conveyed President Salva Kiir Mayardit’s warm greetings to the 92-year-old statesman and commended his enduring contribution to the nation’s political and historical development. Abel Alier, widely respected for his role in the Addis Ababa Agreement of 1972 and his lifelong service to the people of South Sudan, shared his reflections on the country’s progress and the importance of dialogue in sustaining peace.
