The Central Equatoria State Ministry of Housing, Lands and Public Utilities has suspended its First Director General, Eng. Felix Ramadan Lankiri, pending an investigation into a land-related matter.
According to an official suspension letter dated December 8, 2025, Minister David Morbe Aquilino said the action follows directives from the Governor of Central Equatoria State.
The suspension is linked to an inquiry concerning a letter issued by Eng. Lankiri regarding the release of plot number 7, block IV, at Hai Malakal 3rd Class residential area.
The Minister ordered Eng. Lankiri to immediately cease performing his official duties and to stay away from the workplace until he is called back or the investigation is concluded.
During the suspension period, the Director for Administration and Finance will oversee the duties of the First Director General to ensure continuity of operations within the ministry.
The letter has also been copied to the Governor of Central Equatoria State, the Director of Administration and Finance, the ministry’s Legal Advisor, and the official file.This is a developing story.
