The Central Equatoria State Ministry of Housing, Lands and Public Utilities has suspended its First Director General, Eng. Felix Ramadan Lankiri, pending an investigation into a land-related matter.‎‎

According to an official suspension letter dated December 8, 2025, Minister David Morbe Aquilino said the action follows directives from the Governor of Central Equatoria State. ‎

The suspension is linked to an inquiry concerning a letter issued by Eng. Lankiri regarding the release of plot number 7, block IV, at Hai Malakal 3rd Class residential area.

‎‎The Minister ordered Eng. Lankiri to immediately cease performing his official duties and to stay away from the workplace until he is called back or the investigation is concluded.‎‎

During the suspension period, the Director for Administration and Finance will oversee the duties of the First Director General to ensure continuity of operations within the ministry.

‎‎The letter has also been copied to the Governor of Central Equatoria State, the Director of Administration and Finance, the ministry’s Legal Advisor, and the official file.‎‎This is a developing story.
