President Salva Kiir Mayardit arrived back in Juba on Wednesday following official visits to Djibouti and Uganda, where he took part in the inauguration ceremonies of Presidents Ismail Omar Guelleh and Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
The President was received at Juba International Airport by senior government officials, SPLM leaders, and supporters who gathered to welcome him with traditional songs, dances, and chants.
The celebrations also came as political activities continue ahead of the planned December 2026 elections.
